Studio Sessions: Collaborative Online Music Production

$200.00

Studio Sessions: Online Collaborative Music Production Workshop Series

When: Mondays 5–6pm ET;‍ ‍July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3

Where: On Zoom

In this 6-part collaborative online workshop, I'll mentor students as they write, arrange, and produce an original song together with professional software, learning how modern music is created from the first spark of an idea to a finished track — as a team.

Along the way they'll explore songwriting, recording, sound design and most importantly, experience being part of a creative team, just like real studio production.

A role for everyone:

Similar to a real studio environment, each student has an opportunity to contribute in different ways.

  • Session Musicians: students who want to contribute recorded instrumental tracks (piano, guitar, vocals, etc.)

  • Producers: students who want to contribute electronic production elements such as percussion, synth, VST orchestral sections, samples, etc.

  • Mixers: students who want to shape the sound of the mix through effects, compression, gain staging, and equalization

  • Composers & Lyricists: students who want to write lyrics and help shape the overall form and feel of the song as a whole.

  • Promoters: students interested in creating visuals, writeups, and other marketing materials.

Seats are limited to 7 students to ensure each receives the time and attention needed for the best possible learning environment.
