From the Hearth
Part writing nook, part practice pad, this is where ideas and visions are honored and offered freely.
If something resonates, throw a log on the fire and share your thoughts in the comments.
As a member of the National Speleological Society, I decided to submit a writeup of Tapetum to their Arts & Letters publication, Illuminations. I included some photos I took inside Tawney’s Cave, one of myself with the lyrics to “Stalactites”, and a link to the track as-is (unfinished). Since I couldn’t physically attend the NSS convention, it was quite a surprise when I received an email letting me know I had won an award for it.

What are you allowing to be “in transit” right now, without needing to know where it lands?

weekly reflection thread:
Now that the year has begun to move on its own, what feels like it’s actually settling — not what I planned, but what’s naturally taking root
A call to all curious cavers:
enter the echo chamber with me as I begin my exploration of The Heroine’s Journey—unearthing the music, symbols, and lessons I have found in the dark.
A reflection on enoughness, creativity, and learning to honor what we already hold.
Lately, as I build out The Listener’s Lodge—a home for slow art and shared wonder—I’ve been thinking about what it really means to offer what we have, rather than mourn what we lack.
how does it feel?
feelings transposed to sound, unedited unplanned raw and messy as they are
